Here's an amazing article on the importance of prairie native plants. The article which is from the David Suzuki Foundation website shares valuable information and tips on how we can grow such plants in our own green spaces. Something as small as a plant pot could potentially yield a very valuable native plant right in your own backyard or on your patio deck. Next time you walk by the flower bed on the south side of the Church, check out our OSL showy milkweed planting. It has survived the winter and hopefully will provide a meaningful habitat for Monarch Butterfly larvae! So wonderful!!!
