in-person worship

As of September 5, 2021, we're offering hybrid worship, combining in-person worship at the church or the option to join in from home via live streaming. Please note the following should you wish to attend in-person:

  • Wear a face mask while in the building.

  • Sanitize your hands at the new dispensers.

  • If you bring an offering, please place it directly in the offering plate located at the entrance of the sanctuary. We continue to accept PAR and e-Transfers.

  • As a greening congregation we will print limited copies of the OSL Weekly News, Order of Worship, Taking Faith Home and Children’s Bulletins. These items are available on the ushers’ table if you require them. They will also be sent out in our weekly email. To receive these emails, please send us your email address (oslutheran@sasktel.net).

  • Children are invited to remain with their families for the duration of worship. If your family is needing a break, the Fireside Room is available with the worship service projected.

  • We will share a sign of peace in a non-physical way.

  • All are invited to the Lord’s table to receive Holy Communion. An usher will guide one side of the congregation at a time from front to back to come forward and receive the gifts. For those wishing to commune where they are seated, the pastor will come into the congregation.

  • If you are feeling unwell, please stay at home and participate in worship virtually.

  • There is no visiting or coffee served after worship as of yet.

The heartbeat of our community is Sunday worship. Sunday mornings the people gather to worship the God made known in Jesus Christ, who we believe is our Creator, Loving Parent, and Friend; and to be together as a community of faith, hope and love.

We gather to encounter God in Word and Sacrament: to hear and to interpret the ancient text through which God still speaks today; to receive the Sacraments that bring us into the presence of God in water and in bread and wine.

Visitors and seekers are always welcome. We practice eucharistic hospitality: which means the table in worship is open and people of all ages and faith communities, backgrounds, etc., are welcome to receive Jesus in the bread and cup of Holy Communion. We are called, gathered, fed and sent forth to “be the church of Christ… wherever we live, work, rest and play.”

Sunday worship is at 10:30 a.m.  We would love to have you join us for worship (and stick around for a coffee and conversation after service if you’d like!) Again, All are Welcome!

Morning Prayers on Wednesdays: currently meeting virtually--contact the office for Zoom link!

Most Wednesday mornings  (from beginning of September to the end of June) you are invited to gather with the pastors in the Fireside Room of Our Savior’s (main, upstairs level, just off of the front foyer of the church) from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.. This is a quiet service of readings, prayer and communion. Here, take the opportunity to lift up our world and each other in prayer, centering together on the week’s scripture lessons. Coffee and more conversation follows the prayer time. We’d love to see you here!

Care Home Worship:

Our Savior's provides worship services at Parkside Extendicare, Regina Lutheran Home, Santa Maria Care Home, Sunset Extendicare and William Albert House. Musicians and worship assistants are appreciated!
